Carp Island is a private island that a part of Peleliu State, 15 minutes boat ride from the mainland of Peleliu and a 45-minute-speedboat ride from the city of Koror. The only private star-shaped island with pure white sand beaches, station home of frigate birds, white egrets, and so many others. This island resort is a natural paradise island and the perfect place to enjoy a get-away-from-it-all Palau vacation at its very best. The resort is ensconced in an intimate location and is surrounded by beaches, ocean, and other neighboring Rock Islands.
The resort consists of 15 cottages and 10 dive-house. A meandering mile-long beach extends along the front of the resort and it offers privacy and white sands in abundance
The resort lies on a spit of land directly on the white sandy beach, which surrounds almost the whole island. The resort has about 25 rooms of different standards, from individual bungalows, duplex seaside cottages, which built island-style, off the ground, so that natural cooling is provided by seaside breezes and the dive-house, dormitory style for the budget conscious traveler or diver. Seaside Cottages consist of four duplex cottages built island style off the ground, an ocean view cottage that provides the panoramic view of the beach while relaxing in the balcony. The room is equipped with ceiling fan, shower & toilet, and double beds. The New Cottages are four independent bungalow type of cottages. The most comfortable rooms, have a private terrace and are close to the beach. Also an ideal room for a family, built in an island style off the ground, overlooking the ocean, equipped with ceiling fan, shower, and toilet.
The island resort provides only 1 restaurant on the site that offers buffet breakfast, set menu lunch, and buffet dinner in Japanese, American and Oriental menus. Type of menus is based on the nationality of guests checked-in. Seafood specials must be requested two days before the desired date. A place where complimentary coffee and tea at self-service is available all day long. A place for video watching after a day's diving spree.
Additional Information:
The daily schedule of a boat to depart from Koror to Carp Island Resort is at 8:00 in the morning and returns to Koror at 4:00 in the afternoon. Due to this transfer schedule, guests are required to stay a night in Koror upon arrival & prior to departure. However, for direct transfer to Carp Island Resort, a boat charter could be arranged upon advance notice, available at daytime only. Group divers of five persons and above could avail a free direct transfer to Carp Island Resort at daytime subject to boat availability and weather condition. The place is remote, ideal for divers, nature lovers, and a great hideaway from the hustle & bustle of city life.
